Parasite LLC operates Alae.io. This page covers the account, time entries, and Stripe billing. Updated 25 October 2026.
What is stored
An account holds a name, an email, a password hash, a role, a language, and the organisation it belongs to.
The organisation holds workers, contractors, projects, job sites, hourly rates, time entries, goals, and invites. A contractor record can hold a name, a company, a contact, a business address, and a rate, with no account. An invite stores the email it was written for and the code that joins that organisation.
Billing, when the organisation subscribes, stores a Stripe customer id and a subscription id. Card numbers stay with Stripe. Alae.io does not keep them.
Why
The records exist so the organisation can see its hours, so a person can sign in, and so an invite lands in the right organisation. Rates are copied onto a time entry when it is saved, so later changes do not rewrite old hours.
Who can see it
The organisation sees its own records. A worker sees their own hours. Another organisation does not see them. These records are not sold.
The browser
Signing in sets a session cookie so the next page knows who you are. Signing out clears it. The theme choice and the language choice stay in this browser. Once you are signed in, the language is also saved on the account. Alae.io does not add an advertising tracker.
Cookies
Alae.io uses cookies to run the product, including keeping you signed in. There is no advertising cookie.
Keeping and removing records
Records stay while they are in use. The organisation can remove people, projects, and hours from inside the app. Before an account is closed, an export can be downloaded. It covers hours, projects, workers, contractors, and goals.
Terms
The plan, the trial, and the rules for an account are on the terms page.
